Education establishments can present highly specific and often very onerous conditions for doorset assemblies. Misuse and abuse within the school environment is a real consideration and in particular double action cross corridor installations can encounter high levels of the wrong type of attention. Our experience has led us to re think our design proposals for such high risk applications and our recommendations would be to adopt broader design tactics that help mitigate the real risk of extreme abuse. Our early engagement in the design process will enable us to share with the project stakeholders our lessons learnt and resultant system designs which we believe will assist in accessing the best possible and fit for purpose performance function.
